I was born and raised in Honduras. I moved to Houston in 2002 after graduating from the university. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Marketing.

I worked in the medical field for about 10 years, and then decided that I wanted to teach Spanish. I went through an alternative program and obtained my teaching certification.
