A State of Clarity
Path to a confusion-free general campaign has been cleared
What else is left?
On numerous divisive issues, voters are either clearly aligned on one side (pro-life, pro-gun, pro-religious freedom), or have had the issues decided for them by the Supreme Court and Executive Order (Obamacare, marriage equality, immigration). These social and economic issues have been the points on which elections have pivoted.
With the decision from Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) on same-sex marriage, there is one less remaining issue for the Liberal Machine to focus its laser-like intensity. One last cudgel with which it can assault Conservatives and rattle the sheep. One less distraction during elections.
Imagine if the 2016 elections had featured Hillary Clinton railing against a Republican candidate’s refusal to provide insurance coverage for millions of people whose policies were cancelled following a Supreme Court decision overturning Obamacare. It would have been disastrous.
Imagine if the left’s nominee had the ability to rally LGBT and supporting forces across the nation. Claiming that the GOP and their nominee were standing in the way of marriage equality across America.
These issues are now off the table, and the bullets have been dodged. As an additional benefit, the GOP has the ability to now attack the Democrats on issues like Obamacare, the deficit and debt, religious freedom and failed foreign policy. The Democrat nominee, most likely Clinton will now be forced to defend these disasters.
Hillary Clinton will have to defend and uphold Obamacare, the exploding debt and deficit, the mounting attacks against religious freedom, freedom of speech, the unchecked, the bloody and fiery march of Islamic State (also known as ISIS, ISIL or IS) across the Fertile Crescent of the Middle East. All of these things fell apart on Obama’s watch, while Clinton was his chief henchwoman and underlining the decisions made.
Clinton will have to campaign on all of these things, defending them on the debate stage, not as possible negative outcomes (as Obama did), but as actual, nightmarish, failed reality. The Democrats will have to defend their victories, their achievements and their agenda, because it is the proof of their to-do list that functions as their indictment.
Game on.
