In the 7+ years of experience I have tutoring the one thing I hear time and time again is "I hate math" or "I'm not good at math." I believe this to be nonsense for one particular reason. When I first started college I was an English major who didn't like math very much but as I took more and more math classes I began to enjoy it more and more and eventually got a degree in math and physics. So I believe that since I was able to do it anyone can learn to appreciate math.
