Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Review
Tech giant Samsung recently release its new model in the Galaxy S6 series this summer. The GS6 Active is now exclusively at AT&T and here’s what it boils down to.
The phone offers a good 32GB of internal storage and includes an SD card slot for extra space. The GS6 Active is meant to survive everyday dust, splashes, and bumps (hence the name active), and has been said to outlast even four-foot tall drops. The phone is bulkier than the older GS6 models, due to a larger battery which can last all day, it charges quickly with wireless charging as an option. Some added features are the 547 nits of display brightness, a camera that works underwater, and the ability to schedule text messages to contacts.
As with all technological innovations, the phone has its shortcomings. The GS6 Active lacks the fingerprint sensor of the regular GS6 model and its “active” button options tends to cause the phone to lag. However, its water and shock proof features makes the phone perfect for the clumsy and outdoorsy people out there. I’ll wait patiently for the software update to come and I surely won’t worry when I throw my phone across the room in anticipation.
