Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator & Graphic Designer is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of the visual components of our firm's marketing vision across multiple digital and print channels. Working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager and Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator & Graphic Designer will help shape the future of our brand and our client's digital experience in working with our firm.

What You Can Do
  • Skillful Graphic Design Using Industry-Leading Software
    • Knowledge in graphic design tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, mockup tools, and graph creators.
    • Demonstrate solid skills in graphic design, branding, layout design, typography, photo editing, and print.
    • Experience in both print and digital design with the ability to create digital and print-based graphics in line with brand standards.
  • Experience with website content management
  • Strong design aesthetics with type, color, and page layout design.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and practices in graphic design.
  • Excellent creative design skills - having the ability to translate technical and complex financial planning concepts into accessible and valuable information for clients and prospects.
  • Understand Consumer Psychology to Optimize Brand Experience
    • Ability to translate brand and incorporate UX strategies, functions, and information into emotionally compelling and polished final designs that optimize the user experience and drive user behaviors.
    • Understanding of leveraging storytelling and design to present to key stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing user-centered design principles and best practices to produce visuals such as user interfaces for multiple platforms, illustration, typography, photography, icons, data visualization, style guides, personas, journey maps, storyboards, and scenarios
  • Ability to balance stakeholder needs according to established processes while juggling multiple projects

Essential Responsibilities
  • Execute brand look and feel consistently across all creative deliverables (digital and print)
  • Conceptualize and communicate ideas to individuals and to the marketing/sales teams
  • Work in a collaborative, corporate environment with a professional and positive attitude
  • Manage priorities and deliverable deadlines while delivering high-quality work
  • Combine understanding of marketing strategy, design, and technology to deliver client focused designs and media assets
  • Create social media graphics
    • Design graphics and pictures for social media posts
    • Write social media post and advertising post copy
    • Persuasive copy writing for social media
  • Conceptualize and create webinars:
    • Collaborate with team members to create presentation slides and visuals for webinars (PowerPoint or similar)
    • Create promotional graphics for all marketing channels utilizing channel-specific best-practices (email marketing, various social media platforms, YouTube, Google, blog & SEO)
    • Video editing using Adobe Premiere
  • Design graphics and layouts for website pages
  • Create other graphics and marketing materials which communicate the value of complicated financial planning concepts in a simple and easy to understand way including:
    • Infographics and flowcharts conveying how financial planning strategies work and their benefits
    • Brochures (print and digital)
  • Create and/or oversee video creation including explainer videos and short videos
  • Conduct market & competitor research on best practices for web design, graphic design, and digital marketing tactics
  • Continuously develop ongoing knowledge of best practices in the area of expertise including design trends and technology/software solutions
  • Maintain technical knowledge of file preparation and internal processes while keeping an organized file management system
  • Work within all industry compliance rules and regulations for all incoming/outgoing communications; and stay continually up-to-date on rules as they change from year to year.
  • Report on various channel performance.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Business, Art, Graphic Design, Web Design, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Online portfolio of prior work sample
  • Must be located or willing to relocate to the Greater Houston area

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects
  • HubSpot and/or RedTail CRM experience
  • Proven success of LinkedIn copywriting or advertising experience
  • Basic video recording skills
  • Photography and photo-retouching skills
  • UI/UX, HubL/Jinjava coding, or website development are a huge plus
  • Experience in investment or financial advisory industry would be a great advantage.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $55,000 - $62,000, plus quarterly bonuses based on company and personal performance.
  • 401(k) plan with opportunity to earn up to 7% the first year and 10% with tenure.
