The Structural Integrity team is responsible for sustaining the United States hardware, including pressurized modules, truss segments, solar arrays, etc. Boeing is currently seeking an Entry Level Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team.Position Responsibilities:Performs structural analyses (e.g. strength, stability) using analytical (e.g. hand calculations, in-house tools) and numerical (finite element model) methods.Assesses hardware capability against requirements.Evaluates and attempts to extend structural life (e.g. fatigue & fracture analyses).Coordinates analysis inputs, approaches, and case matrices with adjacent disciplines.Documents and presents results to peers, management, and/or NASA customers.Develops new and/or enhances existing tools/codes to optimize and automate processes.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace EngineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Good communication (verbal and written) skillExperience with finite element modeling (NASTRAN and/or ABAQUS)Experience with fracture analysis (NASGRO)Coding experience (python)Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
