We're on the lookout for students enrolled in Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar degrees for May 2022 internships. Measurement Engineering is responsible for providing technical engineering guidance and expertise for new and existing U.S. gas measurement facilities. We support our internal and external customers on project activities from development, design and execution as well as support various programs and initiatives across the company. This role is based in Houston, TX. Tasks could be: Learns what is expected of an Engineer in this industry Reports progress and status Completes assigned tasks on time and budget while meeting technical requirements Complies with Engineering Playbook and best practice procedures Conducts limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers Gathers and assembles data for engineers Conducts design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers Assists engineers with appropriate design details, design reviews and commissioning activities Performs a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization Supports other projects and performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications Actively enrolled in an Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent program, with at least two semesters of education complete and one semester remaining following your work term Basic understanding of engineering design practices and industry codes and regulations Ability to troubleshoot issues Able to complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail Able to read and understand technical documents Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment Quick learner Proficient with Windows based computer systems Able to write technical documents.
