As a member of the Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Cost Accounting while working to advance our organization s practices. This will be accomplished by collaborating with our Chief Financial Officer and the Sr. Vice President of Accounting in developing long and short-run budgeting and operational goals and objectives for the Accounting Department. As your knowledge and experience expand, you will have opportunities to analyze trends in the financial data and detect problems, as well as, prepare cost accounting and budget reports for management to use. This role will require someone that can assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Current Expected Credit Losses CECL methodology for estimating allowances for credit losses.

The successful candidate will perform and oversee special studies for management, including ratio and trend analysis, and other comparative examinations. Additionally, the successful individual will assume responsibility for gathering and researching financial information from branches, departments, and corporate management to develop methods and procedures for the preparation and monitoring of budgeting.

The Cost Accounting Intern will assist the Chief Financial Officer and the Sr. Vice President of Accounting with the quarterly and monthly ALLL/CECL calculations. They will complete budget statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and established Credit Union procedures. They will maintain automated accounting applications for tracking Credit Union income and expenses for budget, pricing, and costing purposes. They may also perform analyses in support of Credit Union pricing decisions.

Requirements: Must be pursuing a Bachelor s degree in Accounting or working towards a Master s degree; CPA and/or CMA designation preferred.
