The Summer IT Intern is an opportunity for Duchesne students to contribute their talents to our school. IT student interns are responsible for the care and repair of desktop and laptop computers, including hardware components and software troubleshooting. They will be responsible on a daily basis for staffing the computer help desk (CAVE) and perform regular maintenance and service of computers and classroom audio/visual equipment. They will evaluate and diagnose computer problems, perform hardware and software repairs, and support classroom technology. This position requires strong organizational skills, a strong sense of personal responsibility, and the ability to work both independently and with a group, and a strong desire to learn the technical aspects of the computer. IT Interns must demonstrate respect and patience, as they will be working with both faculty and students. Summer IT Interns should have taken the Intern class during the school year.Pay: $8.75/hour (or $9.75 or $10.75 according to experience)Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 3:30 pmPrimary Responsibilities:Assist teachers, technology staff and director in helpdesk activities Diagnose and repair laptops Troubleshoot technology on campus as assigned Inventory classroom and office equipment Organize and maintain computer parts and supply closets Update helpdesk tickets Answer phones and email on behalf of the CAVERequirementsMinimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications RequiredIn the performance of his/her duties, Employee shall be guided by the Goals and Criteria of the Sacred Heart and the Catholic Faith.
