AIG common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.Global Compliance Group - Compliance Testing ProgramThe Global Compliance Group (GCG) is a centralized compliance function with oversight responsibility for managing compliance risks and sustaining compliance management across AIG's businesses, functions, legal entities and countries of operation. GCG is comprised of a Corporate Compliance team, as well as General Insurance, Life & Retirement and Investments Compliance teams assigned to AIG's businesses. The Compliance Testing Program is part of the Corporate Compliance team and is one of the key functions of the GCG. This Program is responsible for verifying that business operations comply with certain AIG and Business Unit policies and standards, as well as key laws and regulations. The Testing program covers Key Compliance Risks as agreed upon with Operational Risk Management.Compliance Testing staff are located in several strategic hubs - US (New York, Houston), UK, Singapore, Australia, and Japan.As a Summer Intern you will have an exciting opportunity to learn about AIG's products and services and enhance your knowledge and skillsets as you participate in Compliance Testing projects across multiple businesses and functions, including General Insurance, Life & Retirement, Investments and/or Corporate Functions.You will collaborate with AIG business areas and functional stakeholders, and other assurance teams to:* gain a well-rounded understanding of how AIG operates by participating in Compliance Testing projects* assist in identifying and analyzing the key compliance risks in the stakeholder's business and the key controls that management has implemented to mitigate their risks* participate in the full review lifecycle including planning, testing of controls, reporting and issue verification* participate in the development of Compliance monitoring reports, highlighting key compliance risksSpecific Responsibilities include:* Support the Compliance Testing Team in completing testing reviews. This includes, but is not limited to, documenting process flows, assisting in the identification of key controls, and supporting the Team with the completion of testing of specific controls* Support the Compliance Monitoring Team in completing monitoring reviews, which are continuous reviews that provide ongoing surveillance, review and analysis of key risk indicators. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing AIG Policies and Standards, and regulatory requirements, assisting the Monitoring Director in understanding process flow and how data is captured in AIG systems, and supporting the development of reports that capture key information to monitor compliance risks.* Assist with initiatives to enhance the level of automation used in different Compliance Testing reviews.Summer Internship Program Description* Joining the AIG Summer Internship Program is a great way to enhance your business acumen and gain insight into our industry. Summer interns are placed into meaningful and influential roles that have an immediate and integral impact on the business.* The Summer Internship Program lasts approximately 10 weeks and is targeted to students entering the final year of their undergraduate or graduate education. After initial orientation and intensive training, summer interns will join one of our teams, each of which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse and global environment. In addition to the experience acquired on the job, summer interns have the opportunity to learn directly from senior management and participate in webinars, discussion forums, and networking receptions.* Summer interns establish goals with their managers during the first week, and the goals are measured at the mid and end points of the summer. Successful summer interns may be considered for full-time analyst positions to begin in the summer of 2022.QualificationsRequired:* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Computer Science and/or related discipline and/or related discipline with graduation date no later than July 2022.* Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.2 (unofficial transcript required w/ application)* Strong project management and analytical skills.* Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.* Strong attention to detail.Preferred:* AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, and are enthusiastic about and committed to contribute to IAG's mission and the firm's strategic goals.
