To achieve this mission, HPARD is seeking a Student Intern II (Seasonal) to join its Recreation and Wellness team.The potential candidate will play a key role in the following duties:+ Assist in the coordination, administration and/or monitoring the Parks and Recreation Summer Enrichment Program.+ Instruct and/or assist with a wide range of programming, exhibitions and demonstrations for youth and teens.+ Assist with program preparation and facility cleaning.+ May be required to work evenings.+ Perform other duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSRequires the ability and knowledge for analysis and interpretation of procedures, policies and practices attainable through specific education and/or training programs in a specialty or technical field.(Applicants are college students.)EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSNo experience is requiredLICENSE REQUIREMENTSNONEPREFERENCESEligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.- Current undergraduate college students.GENERAL INFORMATIONSELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIREDThe selection process will involve application review and/or interview.SAFETY IMPACT POSITION YESIf yes, this position is subject to random drug testing and if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.SALARY INFORMATIONFactors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
