( As of May 31,2019)Job Purpose (Job Summary):The Department: The pricing organization leads overall pricing architecture and fund-by-fund recommendations for pricing across existing and new funds. We manage implementation processes for pricing changes, including receiving approval from governance committees and Funds Boards. Your Role: Under direct supervision, develops Microsoft PowerBI reports and data models for business decision-making by gathering feedback with internal stakeholders like product, pricing, and distribution. If additional capacity, creates a new data intake process from 3rd party vendors by creating data delivery and cleansing processes.Key Responsibilities / Duties: Conduct information gathering sessions with subject-matter-experts to outline key business questions, then develop report outlines that answer questions in a scalable and repeatable approach Create basic PowerBI data models using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) wizards or custom script if possible Write simple Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and create custom metrics within PowerBI studio Create PowerBI report visuals and reports Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to understand their data structures and limitations, propose framework foronboarding and cleansing data Develop data intake process as outlined which may include a variety of delivery methods (scheduled CSV download, FTP, API, etc) and cleansing methods (PowerBI Power Query, R, Python), which can be in collaboration with our data scientistWork Experience / Knowledge: Strong technology skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, and VBA are preferred Prior experience with PowerBI is preferred but not required, and some on-the-job training will be provided though most will be self-help and self-study Programming skills are also a plus Communication, written and interpersonal, ability to contribute in a team environment is critical Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful waySkills / Other Personal Attributes Required: Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, meet deadlines and concentrate on detailed information, strong analytical skills and detail orientation Open minded, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environmentFormal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties) Pursuing a degree in Business, CIS, Math, Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent degree that is focused on business or computer scienceFLSA (US Only): NonexemptThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this role.
