Our rapidly growing oil, gas and chemical team, which includes structural, civil, piping, mechanical, process, process safety, electrical, instrument and control disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the EPCC delivery model for dynamic process facilities.LocationThis position is based out of Houston, TX (Energy Corridor).Responsibilities* Candidate will be an Oil, Gas and Chemical Engineer Intern who can quickly become familiar with various Oil Gas and Chemical processes or technologies and make significant contributions.* Interested in industrial process development, conceptual design, or process support with a background in refining, chemicals, or polymers.* May assist with the procurement control and instrumentation process of equipment specifications.* Assist with the generating deliverables for projects.* Assist with preparing engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual design.* Performs and checks engineering calculations following standard methods and principles for projects.* Contributes to the development of client proposals and project cost estimates.* Assist in instrument datasheets.* Assist with construction of cause and effect diagrams.Qualifications* Ability to travel or relocate as needed* Ability to work full-time during the summer (approximately May-August)* Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering minimum required.* Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative* Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time* Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity* Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills* Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives* Strong organization, time management, and attention to detailWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
