Public Health Nurse I Responsibilities Interview patients to obtain medical history Counsel patients on good health practices Administer medications, tests, and immunizations Compile, update, and maintain patient files Coordinate referrals to community agencies and follow up with patients Prepare patient reports Communicate lab results with patients Public Health Nurse I Qualifications To be considered for the Public Health Nurse I position, you will need the following: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing Bachelors degree in Nursing highly preferred Permit to practice Nursing in the State of Texas State of Texas Registered Nurse certificate must be secured within nine months of employment No experience required Must be available to work overtime and weekends Please read the qualifications for this position carefully.
