Job Summary

Planet Home Lending, LLC is looking to hire an enthusiastic Business Development INTERN who is passionate about sales and marketing and has a genuine interest to learn various aspects of the real estate, financial services and mortgage industry. As a Business Development Intern, you will assist and supporting the business development team with research and analysis of industry trends, marketing, prospective sales and capture activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides research and analysis on market/industry trends and prospective clients/opportunities.
  • Supports the maintenance of the client database inputs and updates investor contact information, meeting notes and other critical data points.
  • Schedules and coordinates investor meetings and events for the Business Development team, assisting and further developing existing client relationships.
  • Participates in sales calls to document prospective client s key business needs and assists with writing business cases.
  • Assists in the preparations of in-depth, custom proposals and client presentations.
  • Supports the development of marketing materials and other documents to support business development activities.
  • Works to develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements


  • Applicants should have recently obtained or are obtaining a business or marketing degree
  • High School diploma required


  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience with Adobe a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to do well on self-paced work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skill with the ability to engage effectively

Environmental/Physical Demands

  • Standard office environment unless otherwise stated
  • Some domestic travel may be required
