**Description**An Instrument & Controls (I) Engineering Intern in our will work collaboratively with our Oil, Gas & Chemical (OGC) Group. This position will provide support and assistance with requests in support of the business strategy. Responsibilities during the internship could include but are not limited to:+ Assist in preparing control systems (DCS and/or PLC), Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and instrument specifications and procurement packages.+ Assist in designing control system logic and configuration, graphic interfaces, and Input/Output (I/O) lists.+ Assist in coordinating and managing all vendor I/O and instrument lists; coordinate I/O to determine partitioning of the control system hardware.+ Assist with the preparation of instrumentation design deliverables, including Instrument List, Instrument Construction Specifications, Instrument Installation Details, and Instrument Location Plans.+ Assist in developing specifications and site study for design of systems; provide assistance with piping and instrumentation diagram (P) design including instrumentation and related mechanical design.+ Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.+ All other duties as assigned.**Qualifications**+ Pursuit of Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program+ Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education program in a field related to the work done in the department.+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.+ Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.+ Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills.+ Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.+ Demonstrated leadership skills.+ Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship, in the country where this position is located, for the duration of the internship.+ EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans**Job** Intern**Primary Location** US-TX-Houston**Schedule:** Full-time**Travel:** Yes, 5 % of the Time**Req ID:** 202254#LI-EC #OGCAssociated topics: chemical engineer, database, develop, drawing, electronics, mechanical engineer, plc, process engineer, ultrasonic, wiring
